Job summary

Terumo BCT in Larne, Northern Ireland, is seeking an Analytical Group Manager to lead multiple analytical teams, ensuring high scientific and quality standards in chemistry testing and method development.

You will own QA documentation, drive CAPA closures, oversee method transfers, and align laboratory performance with site and company goals. The role requires extensive lab experience and strong leadership across functions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or closely related subject.
• Extensive hands-on laboratory operations experience.
• Experience in staff management.
• Knowledge of EP/USP methods.
• Experience with laboratory equipment: AA, HPLC, GC, IC, ICP.

Responsibilities

• Mentor analysts and managers; uphold scientific rigor and documentation.
• Ensure all work conforms to approved methods and QMS.
• Ensure regulatory compliance of analytical results and reports.
• Provide technical review of laboratory data and investigations (NC, OOS, OOT).
• Lead development, validation/verification and optimization of analytical methods per ICH guidelines.
• Support product development and lifecycle management with stability-indicating methods.
• Oversee method transfers between departments or sites.
• Maintain compliance with cGMP, GLP and internal standards.
• Own SOPs, method protocols, and instrument calibration.
• Implement CAPAs and ensure timely closure.
