Qualifications

• Significant, recent industrial experience developing GC-MS and GC‑FID methods.
• Experience carrying out analytical process improvement projects.
• Demonstrable experience of mentoring and training Analysts.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing current laboratory processes to understand improvement areas.
• Developing, troubleshooting and optimising GC-MS and GC‑FID methods.
• Managing multiple improvement projects.
• Working with the Analytical Manager to prioritise the workload of the team.
• Mentoring and training of Analysts in the team.
• Reverse engineering competitor chemicals to determine composition.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of GC-MS and GC‑FID instruments.
