Tech Target are seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Analyst to join our Physical Security Technologies research practice. This exciting role offers the opportunity to shape thought leadership in Security Systems Integration and Intruder Alarms & Monitoring service areas while delivering cutting‑edge market intelligence across the broader physical security technology ecosystem.

As a Senior Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in conducting in-depth market research, building industry networks, and delivering actionable insights to our global client base. You will collaborate with a team of experts across regions to provide high‑quality analysis that drives strategic decision‑making for the world’s leading security technology companies.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Primary Research: Conduct industry surveys, interviews, and field research to collect, validate, and analyze market data.
  • Secondary Research: Synthesize information from external sources to support market assessments and analyst products.
  • Quantitative Modelling: Develop and maintain advanced forecasting tools to predict market trends and dynamics.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data, with clear documentation of methodologies.
Insights Development
  • Market Analysis: Deliver qualitative and quantitative analysis on market evolution, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities.
  • Trend Identification: Monitor technology impacts, regulatory changes, and market shifts in fire, intruder, and systems integration sectors.
  • Strategic Guidance: Translate complex data into actionable insights, clearly articulating the “so what?” for clients.
  • Risk Assessment: Evaluate market risks, opportunities, and potential disruptions.
Content Creation & Communication
  • Report Writing: Produce detailed reports with clear market outlooks, trends analysis, and strategic recommendations.
  • Presentation Development: Create compelling presentations for research projects, client engagements, and commercial activities.
  • Market Intelligence: Ensure comprehensive market coverage and continuous improvement in competitive analysis.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear records of research methodologies, data sources, and analytical frameworks.
Client Engagement & Commercial Impact
  • Revenue Generation: Support sales and marketing teams in driving business growth through go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Custom Consulting: Lead tailored consulting projects to address client‑specific needs and objectives.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with key industry stakeholders and decision‑makers.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent Omdia at industry events, sparking engaging discussions and driving impactful conversations.
Collaboration & Networking
  • Cross‑Regional Coordination: Work with analysts across Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific to ensure consistent methodologies and global coverage.
  • Internal Collaboration: Partner with database teams, customer success managers, and other research practices.
  • Industry Networking: Build and maintain a robust network of industry contacts to support research activities.
Qualifications
Experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in the physical security industry.
  • Expertise in the following areas is preferred:
  • Security systems integration market dynamics.
  • Electronic security equipment markets, particularly intruder alarms.
  • Commercial monitoring services sector.
  • Physical security supply chain and distribution channels.
  • Proven market research expertise, including primary research methodologies, forecasting techniques, and competitive analysis.
Skills
  • Advanced analytical capabilities with strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and approach tasks proactively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver reports and presentations.
Education
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Languages
  • Business‑level English is required.
  • Additional European language skills are advantageous for regional market coverage.
