Hours: Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
Shifts: Monday to Saturday

You’ll bring at least three years of hands‑on experience in anaesthetic practice, with a strong foundation in supporting complex surgical cases. Experience in thoracic procedures is highly desirable and will set you apart.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this senior‑level role, you’ll be at the heart of our surgical team, ensuring patients receive safe, seamless anaesthetic care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading anaesthetic support across a variety of complex procedures, ensuring precision and safety at every stage.
  • Preparing patients for surgery and managing anaesthetic care from induction through recovery.
  • Setting up and checking anaesthetic equipment, ensuring readiness and reliability.
  • Collaborating with anaesthetists, surgeons, and theatre staff to deliver coordinated, high‑quality care.
  • Mentoring junior practitioners, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Supporting theatre list organisation and contributing to the smooth running of the theatre suite.
  • Promoting best practice and continuous improvement through teamwork and shared learning.
What You’ll Bring

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) qualification.
  • Valid NMC Pin or HCPC Registration.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in anaesthetic practice, ideally within complex surgical settings.
  • Previous exposure to thoracic cases is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence, initiative, and a collaborative approach to team‑based care.
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding patient outcomes.
