Job summary

iO Associates is seeking a Senior Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) Engineer to lead the integration and verification of advanced on-board processor hardware used in satellite payloads.

You will work on complex spaceflight hardware from integration through qualification, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on high-profile programmes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Aerospace or similar Engineering discipline.
• Experience in AIT of complex electronic or space hardware.
• Strong understanding of digital electronics, FPGA systems & embedded hardware.
• Hands-on with oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers and lab equipment.
• Linux and Windows experience.
• Satellite payload experience, incl. Ka/Ku/X-band.
• GEO/MEO/LEO programme experience.
• Software-defined payloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead AIT activities for on-board processor hardware.
• Integrate digital payload equipment and supporting EGSE.
• Perform functional, performance and interface verification.
• Support thermal vacuum, vibration, EMC/EMI and environmental testing.
• Develop and maintain integration procedures and test documentation.
• Commission and validate electrical ground support equipment.
• Investigate non-conformances and support engineering reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
