Job summary

BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services WLL is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to perform detailed maintenance activities on aircraft or aircraft components in a base maintenance environment. You will work unaided to approved data, diagnose faults, and guide less experienced team members.

The role requires a solid understanding of the approved Technical Information set and adherence to MOE, Part 145 procedures, and airworthiness standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering Apprenticeship in Aeronautical Engineering or military equivalent.
• City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance.
• Experienced and competent leader at this level.
• Min 2 years at Technician level before a Supervisor role.
• Demonstrated breadth of skills via a Log Book.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and diagnostic activities on aircraft systems and components.
• Guide less experienced team members and work within a squad.
• Ensure maintenance is completed to schedule and address issues.
• Maintain airworthiness records on relevant systems.
• Comply with Part 145 Exposition and company procedures.
