Job summary

Our client in London is seeking a Senior AI Software & Platform Engineer to drive the adoption of AI across a cutting-edge quantitative trading environment. You will work with researchers, developers and trading teams to build AI-powered tools, intelligent assistants, and agent-based systems that boost productivity and accelerate innovation.

You will join a highly technical engineering function, collaborating to deploy AI at scale and shape how AI is used across the business.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering expertise with Python.
• Experience building and operating production-grade software systems.
• Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, and software architecture.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI platforms, and modern AI tooling.
• Proven ability to independently deliver complex projects from concept through to production.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AI-powered applications, assistants, and agentic workflows
• Design and develop integrations between AI systems and enterprise tools, repositories, databases, and knowledge bases
• Create intelligent AI agents capable of interacting with internal systems and APIs
• Evaluate emerging AI models, frameworks, and technologies for business adoption
• Partner with engineering, research, and trading teams to identify and deliver high-impact AI solutions
