Job summary

Axon in London is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I to lead major product surfaces from concept to launch. You’ll ship AI-native features, define MVPs, and set success metrics with stakeholders.

This role requires pragmatic architecture, fast delivery, and high-quality software. You’ll mentor engineers, partner with Product and Design, and work in a hybrid setup with in-office Tuesdays–Fridays and remote Mondays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of software development with ownership of product capabilities.
• AI-native delivery across the SDLC with quality and speed.
• Ability to simplify complexity and make trade-offs while shipping.

Responsibilities

• Lead the build of major product surfaces and services end-to-end.
• Define the problem, shape MVP scope, and align stakeholders on success.
• Develop AI-native software across the full SDLC with validation.
• Measure delivery via metrics and iterate on shipping efficiency.
• Make architecture choices balancing speed and scalability.
• Establish testing, CI/CD, and observability practices.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to prioritise high-value increments.
• Mentor engineers and foster a high-trust, high-ownership culture.
