This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior AI/ML Data Engineer in EMEA.
In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the foundation of a fast-growing SaaS company's data and AI capabilities. As part of a highly collaborative AI team, you'll design and maintain data pipelines, embeddings, and retrieval systems that power innovative, customer-facing AI features. You'll work closely with cross-functional product and platform teams to integrate intelligent systems that enhance user experience and business performance. Accountabilities
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to support AI-driven product features.
- Design and optimize embeddings, vector databases, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
- Experiment with LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex to enable next-generation AI applications.
- Collaborate with product and platform engineering teams to ensure seamless data integration and performance across systems.
- Establish and uphold best practices for data quality, observability, and reliability in AI workflows.
- Contribute to the deployment and monitoring of Python-based AI services in production environments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data or backend engineering, preferably within SaaS environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Pandas, and optionally PyTorch or TensorFlow).
- Expertise in SQL, data modeling, and relational databases.
- Experience working with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or FAISS.
- Familiarity with RAG systems and AI orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain).
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver robust data solutions.
- Bonus: experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster).
