Job summary

KX is recruiting for a principal-level architect on the Forward Deployed Engineering Team. You will design AI-enabled, high-performance data and analytics systems for leading financial clients, assessing environments and delivering material value across AI, real-time data processing and infrastructure modernization.

Based in London or Dublin with hybrid work, you will operate inside customer environments, defend architecture in front of CTOs and senior engineers, and build reusable assets to

Qualifications

• Strong capital-markets experience building front-office systems in production.
• Track record delivering production AI and data-platform systems at scale.
• Experience with GPU or accelerated-compute technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assess the environment: run architecture, AI-readiness and workload-performance diagnostics in the customer environment and turn findings into a defensible design.
• Identify accelerated-compute opportunities: assess workloads for GPU and accelerated-compute opportunities with quantified proof.
• Evaluate AI and agent use cases: feasibility, architecture, cost and operation requirements.
• Design across the estate: create one coherent system spanning KX tech, AI platforms and customer data.
• Map the data estate: work with quants and data owners to understand the estate and opportunities.
• Quantify the gains: size latency, throughput, scalability and cost credibly for stakeholders.
