Sanderson is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to drive AI from concept to production in a role blending full-stack development with modern AI technologies. You will shape architecture, establish best practices, and lead technically while collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver scalable AI solutions.

The position offers hybrid work in the UK with a salary up to £100,000 plus benefits, reflecting experience.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience as a Senior Software/AI Engineer with a full-stack Microsoft development background.
• Extensive experience developing applications using C#/.NET and frontend frameworks (React/Angular).
• Experience designing and building REST APIs and integrating AI capabilities into enterprise apps.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including Azure AI Foundry and cloud-native development.
• Experience implementing AI solutions with LLM integration, RAG and vector databases.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (SQL Server, Snowflake, OneLake or similar).
• Solid understanding of architecture, scalability, CI/CD, DevOps and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver end-to-end AI-powered applications from design to deployment.
• Build scalable, production-ready AI solutions using Azure and cloud-native architecture.
• Integrate LLMs, RAG and Agentic AI into business applications.
• Develop frontend apps with robust APIs and backend services for seamless UX.
• Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to translate requirements into tech solutions.
• Design reusable components and architectures to support future AI initiatives.
• Ensure secure, well-tested, maintainable solutions following engineering best practices.
• Provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on with development.
• Support and continually improve production services to boost performance.
