Job summary

Bloomberg's Engineering AI department in London is expanding with senior AI engineers to advance AI-driven customer-facing products. You will contribute to teams building retrieval-augmented generation, information retrieval, and search capabilities using transformers and vector databases.

We seek experts in NLP, IR, and Generative AI with strong software engineering foundations, ready to design and deploy robust, scalable search systems and collaborate across product and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience solving real-world NLP, IR, and Generative AI problems.
• Practical ability with data-driven problem solving and software engineering.
• Experience with production-grade search systems and scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into client facing products.
• Architect, develop, and deploy production search systems powered by LLMs.
• Experiment with new ideas and implement impactful improvements.
• Train, test, and iterate on models from concept to deployment.
