Job summary
JetBrains is seeking a senior technical leader to shape AI-powered workflows for CLion and C++ development. You will prototype, implement, and validate AI-enabled features, working at the intersection of developer tools, AI agents, IDE architecture, and product strategy.
This is a hands-on role focused on technical direction rather than people management, collaborating with AI/ML teams and product managers.
Qualifications
- Significant software engineering experience in a senior technical role.
- Strong experience with Kotlin, Java, or other JVM technologies.
- Experience building AI-powered products and developer tools.
- Understanding of coding agents, tool calling, context management and evaluation methods.
Responsibilities
- Shape and deliver AI-powered features for CLion and C++ workflows.
- Design architecture for AI integrations, agent tools, and C++ AI capabilities.
- Build benchmarks and evaluation frameworks for AI-assisted development.
- Prototype and validate AI workflows including debugging and navigation.
- Collaborate to shape roadmap and align with JetBrains AI strategy.
- Contribute to technical design and implementation in a large codebase.
- Define a technical roadmap for AI agent and tool integrations in C++.
