Job summary

The ideal candidate has hands-on LangChain, LangGraph, DeepAgents, and Azure AI Foundry experience, plus strong Python and React skills and a TDD, SOLID mindset.

Senior Agentic AI Engineer | 12-Month FTC

Location: London (Hybrid)

Salary: £85,000 per annum (Flexibility available for exceptional experience)

Term: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Norton Blake is seeking an experienced Senior AI Engineer who has successfully taken Agentic AI solutions out of sandbox environments and into live production. Partnering with a global technology consultancy, we are looking for a standalone senior practitioner capable of leading agentic architecture in a hybrid London setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade Agentic AI solutions into production environments.
• Write clean, maintainable, and test-driven code while upholding software design patterns and principles.
• Leverage state-of-the-art coding workflows, incorporating agents like Claude Code to accelerate production cycles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, taking full ownership of technical deliverables independently.

Required Experience & Technical Skills

• Agentic Production Experience: Must have successfully deployed at least one Agentic AI solution into a production environment.
• Core Frameworks: Deep proficiency with LangChain, LangGraph (1.2.x), and DeepAgents.
• Cloud Platform: Hands-on experience using Azure AI Foundry.
• Languages & Web Stack: Strong hands-on coding skills in both Python and React.
• Software Engineering Foundations: Rigorous experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), SOLID principles, and clean design patterns.
• Developer Tooling: Native fluency using coding agents (e.g., Claude Code).
• Communication & Autonomy: Strong stakeholder communication skills with a proven ability to work independently in an onsite/hybrid environment.
