Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Yeovil is seeking an Advanced Project Engineer to join the Electronic Controllers team. The role involves coordinating electronics/software projects across concept to production, with collaboration across teams and stakeholders in the UK and Europe.

The position offers a hybrid 3 days in-office / 2 days remote work, with travel to customer sites. Candidates should have a strong electronics/software background and proven project leadership within aerospace contexts.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in electronics, software, aerospace engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience in digital/analogue electronics design and/or embedded software design.
• Experience in requirements and configuration management, quality standards and documentation for aerospace products.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, qualification and compliance of multiple aerospace electronic products from concept to production.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electronics, firmware and software engineers to meet requirements.
• Control project scope, schedule, budget and risk, including change control.
• Manage design and phase gate reviews and progress reporting with stakeholders and customers.
• Provide engineering cost and effort estimates to proposals to win new business.
• Demonstrate compliance with quality processes and procedures.
• Partner with diverse engineering teams locally and globally to achieve results.
