Job summary

A leading energy job board is seeking an experienced engineer to lead aerodynamic design in missile systems. Responsibilities
  • Join a growing team at the forefront of rocket propulsion in the UK; lead aerodynamic design and development on critical anti-missile systems across the entire product lifecycle.
  • Work closely with the Product Lead and other senior figures during a key phase of conceptual design, developing interceptor systems to combat the threat of drones.
  • Evaluate concepts, design and support wind tunnels, and develop integral design tools.
  • Rapidly evaluate concepts in propulsion, mechanical, and GNC (Guidance, Navigation and Control); operate in a fast-paced and demanding environment, understanding technicalities at a systems level.
Qualifications
  • 5 years+ experience with missile, rocket/aerodynamic systems
  • Degree: aerospace engineering or relatable
  • Technical understanding of subsonic, transonic and supersonic regimes and CFD analysis
  • Ability to work within a fast paced, start-up R&D environment
  • Desirable: experience with Ansys, hypersonic flows and/or coding
