Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust seeks a senior clinician to lead Advanced Clinical Practice within Care of the Elderly and the Acute Frailty Service. The post holder will provide expert clinical management, order investigations, and develop treatment plans with MDT input.

The role requires Masters level qualification, Independent Prescriber status, and a track record in change management, research or teaching.

Qualifications

• Senior clinical experience at Band 7 or above.
• Independent Prescriber (registered).
• Experience in change management and service development.
• Evidence of journal/publication or conference activity.

Responsibilities

• Act autonomously to assess, prioritise and provide expert clinical care.
• Request and interpret relevant investigations to inform the management plan.
• Initiate management for critically ill/deteriorating patients within scope.
• Refer to other clinicians to deliver care beyond limitations.
• Initiate treatment plans for interventions and ethical considerations.
• Identify, diagnose and manage risk of long-term conditions.
• Undertake clinical procedures to support patient care.
• Autonomously prescribe as an Independent Prescriber.
