About Us

The Governors and Leadership Team of St Joseph's Infant and Junior Schools are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Senior Admin Clerk to join our schools.

Our core purpose is to improve outcomes and opportunities for the children in our community and we are looking for a Senior Admin Clerk who is highly organised, enthusiastic and motivated and will support ensuring the smooth running of the school office.

Job Details

Salary: £20,197.94

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 3:45pm

Location: St Joseph's Schools, Chichester

Interviews: 05/06/2025

Key roles and responsibilities include
  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to the office manager and SLT
  • Daily attendance of pupils
  • Answering emails and telephone calls
  • Assisting the receptionist in welcoming visitors into the school ensuring school safeguarding procedures are followed
  • Pupil admissions
  • Trip organisation, correspondence and payments
  • Overseeing the daily administration within the school office
  • Manage and update the school website
  • Ordering
  • First Aid
  • Assist in the organising of events such as sports day
  • Ensure the office is kept tidy, organised and in good order at all times, making sure there are sufficient resources available
  • Ensure that all working practices reflect the ethos and values of the school
  • Administration of newsletters

Person Specification
  • GCSE English and Mathematics
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
Experience
  • Experience of working in an office environment
  • Ideally knowledge of Arbor, Parentpay and Canva, training can be provided
  • First Aid at work – or willing to undertake training
