Job summary

Blank Street is seeking a Senior Accountant to scale the UK accounting function from our London office. You will own UK statutory and group reporting, intercompany accounting, and period-end close while partnering with Supply Chain, Operations, People, and external parties.

You will drive process improvements, maintain internal controls, and support tax filings and audits across multiple jurisdictions. A mix of public accounting and retail/hospitality experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience in UK/Europe.
• Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) required.
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP & IFRS.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system.
• Experience with Coupa or similar invoicing software.
• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Cross-functional collaboration mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage UK statutory and group reporting (UK GAAP & IFRS) and intercompany accounting.
• Perform period-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee vendor payments and assist with tax filings and audits.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and internal controls.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and partner with external auditors.
