Job summary

Hussmann is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Accounting and Finance Organization in Newry. The role focuses on the analysis of costs, trends and variances, with collaboration across departments to provide insight and recommendations to leadership.

You will manage journal entries, reconciliations and reporting for Payroll, Health & Welfare, Pension and other compensation areas, supporting forecast and business planning, while ensuring internal controls and SOX compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5+ years of ascending experience.
• CPA a plus.
• Experience in a Shared Services/Corporate Accounting environment a plus.
• Strong Excel skills with advanced formulas (v-lookups, pivots).
• Experience with Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor XA, Onestream and Blackline is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service oriented.
• Ability to generate new ideas / solutions and think independently; strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage competing priorities.
• High level of discretion and integrity when handling sensitive employee and compensation data.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accounting, reporting, analysis and trending of Payroll, Health & Welfare, Pension and other compensation areas for Actuals, Forecast and Business Plan.
• Collaborate with HR and businesses on issue resolution and adjustments.
• Handle general accounting duties including journal entries and reconciliations for prepaids, relocation, tariffs and accruals.
• Work with Business Partner Leader on department forecasts and monthly results reviews; assist in spend analysis and presentations.
• Assist with 401k and pension plan audits, including 5500s and financial statements.
• Support other Hussmann Accounting/Treasury initiatives and ad-hoc projects as needed.
• Ensure compliance to GAAP, IFRS, internal controls, SOX and policies.
