Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or actively studying towards a professional qualification.
• 5–7 years' accounting experience given role complexity.
• Strong month-end and financial close experience.
• Experience preparing and reviewing balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Good understanding of UK accounting principles and controls.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel.
• Experience with auditors and statutory reporting support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare journals, invoices, accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
• Maintain cashbook reconciliations and AR/debt collection processes.
• Investigate accounting discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Ensure IFRS compliance and adherence to accounting policies.
• Maintain balance-sheet controls and reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audits and provide documentation.
• Identify control weaknesses and propose corrective actions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Contribute to finance transformation and system implementations.
