Job summary

Blusource Professional Services Ltd is recruiting a Senior Accountant to join a friendly, close-knit firm. The role offers flexibility between full-time and part-time hours and may include one day per week of homeworking.

The successful candidate will have previous accounting practice experience, with a portfolio of clients, and be comfortable with mentoring junior staff and providing commercially focused advice.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice.
• Ability to manage a portfolio of clients.
• Flexible on hours (full-time or part-time).
• Strong technical knowledge and practical approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for a portfolio of clients.
• Complete personal and corporation tax returns.
• Manage and develop client relationships.
• Provide clients with practical accounting and tax advice.
• Identify issues and opportunities within client businesses.
• Develop understanding of clients' business strategy and objectives.
• Support and mentor apprentices and junior staff.
• Review work and provide guidance as appropriate.
• Work across a range of accounting software and systems.
