Job summary

A mid-tier accounting firm in Stourbridge is seeking a Senior Accountant to prepare year-end statutory accounts and manage corporation tax returns. Candidates should be ACA or ACCA qualified, with solid accountancy practice experience and a good understanding of tax regulations. Qualifications

  • ACA / ACCA qualified with experience within a UK Accountancy firm.
  • Solid accountancy practice experience, strong understanding of bookkeeping, statutory accounts, and management accounts.
  • Good understanding of corporation tax, income tax, capital gains tax and VAT.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
  • Preparation and submission of corporation tax returns and related computations.
  • Liaising with clients to obtain information, resolve queries, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Supporting partners and managers with ad-hoc accounting and tax assignments.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Using accounting software and maintaining accurate financial records.
