Job summary

Paul Card Recruitment is seeking a finance leader for a newly created role that will influence how the finance function operates across a varied client portfolio. You will shape processes, improve reporting standards and deliver a visible impact on finance delivery in a professional services context.

The role sits between the senior leadership team and the finance team, with day-to-day delivery, review and sign-off responsibilities.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification is preferred, otherwise progress towards qualification with relevant management experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and sign off management accounts packs.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and cash flow forecasts.
• Manage workflow, resources and deadlines across the finance team.
• Standardise management reporting across the client portfolio.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
• Manage finance delivery across multiple client entities ensuring timely, accurate reporting.

If your background is in accountancy practice, outsourced finance or a similar professional services environment, you'll be able to use that experience in a role that combines technical finance, team management and client responsibility.

You'll join an outsourced finance business, providing the financial and commercial information clients need to support strategic, commercial and operational decisions.

Sitting between the senior leadership team and the finance team, you'll take responsibility for day-to-day delivery, review and sign-off.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and signing off management accounts packs
• Preparing financial budgets, forecasts and cash flow forecasts
• Managing workflow, resources and deadlines across the finance team
• Standardising management reporting across the client portfolio
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
• Managing finance delivery across multiple client entities, ensuring reporting is accurate and on time

You'll already have experience managing a finance team, reviewing work and taking responsibility for its quality and accuracy.

You'll understand the demands of managing multiple clients, deadlines, chargeable time and utilisation, and be comfortable moving between different client requirements and priorities.

Ideally, you'll be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, although someone well progressed towards qualification with the appropriate technical and management experience will also be considered.
