  • Produce VAT returns, corporation tax, and personal tax filings.
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping and prepare periodic financial reports.
  • Deliver clear, jargon-free advice and spot opportunities for tax planning and business improvement.
  • Support clients with accounting systems (primarily Xero), including set-up and training.
  • Handle HMRC queries and ensure full compliance across all submissions.
  • Assist with audit preparation, documentation, and internal processes.
  • Mentor and support a trainee accountant, helping guide their development and reviewing their work.
  • Contribute to process improvements as the practice continues to scale.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accounting practice.
  • Strong technical competency in year-end accounts, tax, and compliance.
  • Experienced user of cloud accounting software (Xero preferred) and advanced Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining exceptional accuracy.

The successful candidate will be:
  • Positive, driven, and professional.
