Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Senior Accountant for a growing chartered accountancy practice in Barnstaple. You will deliver hands-on year end accounts, tax work, VAT management, and bookkeeping while supporting managers and partners in a busy firm.

You will work with a diverse client base across sole traders, partnerships, and SMEs, with room to progress into a more senior role over time.

Qualifications

• AAT/ACCA qualification or equivalent/experience in UK practice.
• Experience delivering year end accounts and general practice services.

A growing chartered accountancy practice based in Barnstaple is searching for a Senior Accountant to join their team taking on the hands on delivery, preparation and review of year end accounts, tax and wider services to a mixed and varied industry client portfolio. You will also support the wider team as a key addition to this successful firm.

This highly regarded, independent chartered firm of accountants based in Barnstaple has wide ranging clients across differing sectors, turnovers and industry range to cover smaller sole traders and partnerships, alongside a large client base of OMBs and SMEs and larger corporate clients.

Description

Joining as a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for the hands-on delivery, preparation and review of year end accounts, tax, VAT management accounts, bookkeeping and wider accountancy services to a varied client portfolio of sole traders, partnership and limited companies across wide ranging industry sectors, You will carve a key right hand support role to managers and partners within this successful and highly regarded firm of chartered accountants with opportunity to progress and develop as a key addition to this successful team.

Profile

You may be AAT/ACCA qualified or have developed your career through experience only. You will have a background within UK accountancy practice delivering services across year end accounts and all around, general accountancy practice service delivery to wide ranging sole trade, partnership and limited company clients. You will have developed your career to the Senior Accountant levels and be looking for a career move within a firm that can offer a long term fit and an environment within which you can carve a valued, key position supporting the wider management and partner team.

Job Offer

Circa £30,000 - £40,000 dependent on the background experience and level of the right professional, plus benefits, negotiable.
