Job summary

Colchester United Football Club seeks a Lead Academy Strength & Conditioning Coach to join the Academy Sports Science department. You will lead S&C across U9-U21, deliver age-appropriate programmes, and provide athletic development sessions as part of the Sports Science and Medicine/Performance Support Programme.

You will also deliver fitness testing, monitor loads with Kitman Labs, support CPD for coaching staff, and uphold safeguarding at all times.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Sports Science or related discipline.
BASES accreditation held or in progress.
FAiF (First Aid for Sport) qualification.
UKSCA accreditation or equivalent.
FA Safeguarding Award and DBS check.
Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver the Academy Athletic Development Plan across U9-U21.
Deliver age-appropriate strength and conditioning programmes across FP, YDP and PDP.
Deliver athletic development sessions to U9-U16 players.
Provide sports science support to U18 players, including prehab, warm-ups and athletic development sessions.
Ensure the department's philosophy and objectives are followed.
Use Kitman Labs to record and monitor data across squads.
