A leading children's services provider in the UK seeks a part-time SENDIASS Support Worker to provide essential support for children and young people with special educational needs. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with a qualification in SEND law or commitment to acquire it. Working from home, the successful candidate will assist families through various SEND processes, advocating for clear outcomes and fostering self-advocacy. Contract: Part-Time, permanent
Hours:30 hours per week (working pattern will be negotiated with your line manager)
Base Location: This role is home based. You will be expected to travel to regular meetings within Hampshire.

SENDIASS services are part of the Children’s Services branch of Polaris. Hampshire SENDIASS provide timely, confidential and impartial, information, advice and support for parents, carers, children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND).
Hampshire SENDIASS’ aim is to ensure that children and young people with SEND and their families are empowered to play an active and informed role in their education.
We are looking for a SENDIASS Support Worker to join our friendly team based in Hampshire. The successful applicant will have a track record or personal experience in special educational needs, disabilities, education, health or social care. They will provide customers with confidential, impartial, one-to-one support on issues relating to SEND. They must be professional, approachable and outcome focused.
