We're proud to provide a supportive, inspiring environment for young people aged 16‑19 who need a different kind of educational setting—one that meets their needs, recognises their potential, and helps them thrive.

Our learners all have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and some can display challenging behaviours. We're looking for someone who is patient, adaptable, and genuinely cares about helping young people succeed; especially those who may not have found success in traditional educational settings.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking passionate and motivated individuals to join our dynamic team at Skills Centre Plus :

Whether you are just beginning your journey into teaching, have subject expertise to share, or are an experienced qualified tutor ready to lead, we have opportunities at all three levels :

Ideal for those with a genuine interest in education but limited formal experience. You will receive structured mentoring and training while gaining hands‑on experience working alongside experienced tutors. This role provides an excellent foundation and progression toward a recognised teaching qualification.

Level 2– Subject specialist with teaching and vocational qualification

For applicants with strong subject knowledge or vocational experience who are confident delivering engaging sessions to SEND learners. You will plan and deliver high‑quality, differentiated lessons that promote personal development, employability and independence.

Level 3– QTS and Industry Specific Qualification

A role for qualified professionals holding QTS, with proven teaching experience. You will lead on curriculum design, mentor junior staff, and contribute to quality assurance and curriculum improvement initiatives, ensuring outstanding learner outcomes and alignment with our accreditation standards.
