Overview

TeacherActive is proud to partner with a fantastic Alternative provision based in Gloucester. The setting follows a varied curriculum to suit the needs of the young people. Underpinning this, is the consistent teaching of people skills, and guidance to assist children develop their social, emotional, and personal abilities. The school is looking for a SEND 1:1 Tutor on a part-time basis. You will work with pupils on a 1:1 basis in their homes (with a parent/carer always present) or in community spaces such as libraries or childrens centres. Every learner is unique, so youll need to tailor your sessions and build strong, trusting relationships to foster a positive and engaging learning environment. The successful SEND 1:1 Tutor will be working directly with students across all Key Stages, whose ages range from 5 to 19 years. Most of the young people are diagnosed with either Autism / ASD, Learning Difficulties / LD or attention deficit disorder / ADD.

Responsibilities
