If you love helping pupils feel safe, understood, and proud of their progress, this could be the perfect role for you.

About the role

This isn’t your typical classroom job. You’ll be working in an environment built around nurture, creativity, and genuine relationship-building. Every pupil has their own strengths, quirks, and ways of learning, and you’ll play a key role in helping them shine.

What your day would look like
  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups with a range of learning needs
  • Helping create calm, structured, and engaging learning spaces
  • Encouraging confidence, independence, and positive communication
  • Using simple, consistent strategies to help pupils manage emotions
  • Celebrating every win, big or small, because they all matter
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and the SENCO

No two days are the same, but every day is meaningful.

What the school offers
  • A warm, supportive team who love what they do
  • A well‑resourced setting designed around pupils’ needs
  • Brilliant leadership who value their support staff
  • Ongoing professional development and learning opportunities
  • A culture built around kindness, safety, and pupil wellbeing
What we’re looking for
  • Experience supporting children or young people, ideally in SEND
  • A calm, caring approach and the ability to stay steady under pressure
  • Great communication, empathy, and a sense of humour
  • A genuine interest in helping young people feel confident and capable
Why join Protocol Education?
