Job summary

Operam Education is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEND school in Hillingdon. You will support pupils with severe and complex needs, aiding academic and personal development while ensuring they feel safe and valued throughout the day.

Ideal candidates have SEND experience, a caring, patient attitude, and a commitment to making a difference. DBS checks and QTS-equivalent requirements apply as part of registration with our agency.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND and complex needs.
• Ability to support pupils with profound learning disabilities.
• Positive attitude and genuine desire to make a difference.
• Caring, patient and compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with severe and complex SEND needs across the school day.
• Work closely with class teachers and specialist staff to support learning and development.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and sensory needs.
• Assist with personal care routines, including toileting, changing and intimate care where required.
• Encourage communication, engagement and independence.
