A local education authority is seeking a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant at Newdale Primary School and Nursery. This role involves supporting children with special educational needs, fostering their confidence and emotional wellbeing, with a focus on inclusive education. The contract is full-time and fixed-term until July 2026, and training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Salary: 29.83 hours per week, term time only. £13.26 per hour pro rota

We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to provide high-quality support to pupils with special educational needs. The successful candidate needs to be flexible and willing to work across any phase in school, including the current SEND Nest Provision phase. They need to be prepared to work across whole classes, with specific groups or on a one-to-one basis - this depends on the ever-changing level of need across school and the strengths of the successful individual. The successful candidate will also be required to support the lunchtime team with key children.
And finally someone who has big heart, can use their initiative and has a can-do attitude
We will be running tours on Tuesday 14th and Tuesday 21st October 2025 at 3:45pm (please call the office on 01952 387720 to book a place on this tour). Though tours are not essential, we do strongly encourage them.
