A leading education supply agency is seeking a passionate SEND Teaching Assistant in Rotherham to support children with complex needs in a positive learning environment. The role involves working closely with classroom teachers, providing individual assistance to students aged 5-16, and ensuring a nurturing educational experience. Working closely with children and young people with complex needs including autism spectrum disorders (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), physical disabilities, social emotional and mental health (SEMH) and emotional behavioural difficulties (EBD). You will be working within a strong team of staff, supporting one another in the workplace. You must have a passion for education and a motivation to provide a good level of learning and development to students in a classroom environment. You will be supporting children between the ages of 5 16 years old (KS1 KS4). You will be supporting young children who have communication and interaction difficulties, cognition and learning difficulties and sensory or physical difficulties.
The school located in Rotherham work tirelessly for their students and was recently rated outstanding by Ofsted. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, the school would require you to be supporting the classroom teacher by providing individual or small group assistance to students, helping with lesson preparation and delivery, managing classroom behaviour, and generally ensuring a positive learning environment for all pupils.
