SEND Teaching Assistant – Newton Abbot, Devon

Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (early finish on Fridays!)
Pay: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Paid Weekly via BACS – No Umbrella Deductions

About the School
Our partner school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for secondary students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health needs. The curriculum combines academic learning with life skills, outdoor education, and community engagement — ensuring each student receives a personalised, well-rounded education.

Your Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored learning and provide 1:1 and small-group support. Being Team Teach trained is desirable but not essential. You’ll help students build confidence, communication, and independence through positive and engaging learning experiences.
