Job summary

Milk Education is seeking patient and dedicated Complex Needs Teaching Assistants to work in Stockport and Tameside from September. You will support pupils with complex needs, helping them access learning and develop independence within a caring school environment.

Suitable candidates have TA experience and a Level 2/3 TA qualification are desirable. Opportunities include full-time, part-time, temporary, long-term or permanent roles across SEND settings.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with complex needs or SEND.
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar (TA, SEND TA, Support Worker).
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with complex needs.
• Support pupils to access learning through personalised and differentiated activities.
• Promote communication, independence and social development.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Follow individual support plans and specific care or learning strategies.
• Assist pupils with day-to-day needs as required.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils and collaborate with teachers and SEN teams.
• Monitor pupil progress and communicate with school staff.
• Maintain a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment.
