Job summary

A leading education agency is looking for an experienced SEND teaching assistant in the Chorley area. The role involves providing support to children with complex needs in a nurturing environment. Ideal candidates will have at least 6 months of experience working with special needs children and a calm approach to managing behaviour. This position is full-time and requires flexibility to work during school hours.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience working with children with special educational needs.
• Ability to reliably commute to PR7 area, preferably by driving.
• Proactive attitude and ability to work in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and class support to individuals with complex needs.
• Anticipate when students need regulation breaks.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO.
