Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support students across Wolverhampton. The role offers flexible working within schools and other educational settings to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

You will work alongside teachers, support SEND learners, and contribute to literacy and numeracy activities, while promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing. DBS on Update Service is preferred or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with their learning and development in and out of the classroom.
• Work closely with teachers and other professionals to implement learning plans.
• Provide tailored support for students with SEND, SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and other additional needs.
• Encourage positive engagement, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing.
• Assist with literacy, numeracy, and classroom activities.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.

Roles may be based within schools, alternative provisions, or delivered on a 1:1 basis depending on the needs of the student.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
