Salary: £425–£450 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday (8:20am – 3:30pm)

About the Role

Connex Education is working with a Primary School in Bromborough seeking a full‑time SEND Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with SEMH/ADHD needs. The role involves building a positive, consistent relationship with the pupil, encouraging engagement through structure, routine, and clear roles, while helping manage refusal, high energy levels, and occasional time out of class. You may also support a small number of other pupils in the same class, so flexibility and the ability to take direction are essential. A nurturing, calm, and patient approach is key. Team Teach training is highly desirable for this role.

Assignment Details

This is a full‑time position from Monday to Friday, starting on 5th January 2026. The working day begins at 8:20am, and the assignment is expected to run until July 2026 for the right candidate.

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • A Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will also be considered.
  • GCSEs or equivalent Level 2 in Maths and English.
  • Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
