Overview

Thrive Education Group is currently looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant who has a passion for supporting students with additional needs. As a SEND Teaching Assistant your role will involve working 2:1 alongside a Tutor to support a KS4 student, based in a community centre in the Runcorn area. This is a part time role working from 14:30pm-4pm each day. As well as working with this specific student we are also looking for someone who can take on additional students in the Runcorn community centre between the hours of 10-2pm. We are flexible with times and can work around your availability to match you with the right students.

Responsibilities
  • Working alongside a Tutor to support a KS4 student with various special needs
  • Providing weekly reports based on students attendance and progression
  • Liaising with local authorities and virtual schools to provide updates on students sessions
  • Support students with their mental health and their transitions back into school
Requirements
  • Previously experience working with students with special needs is essential
  • SEND Teaching Assistant experience or a background in tutoring
  • Patience and resilience
