Location: Northampton, Corby & Kettering

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Term Time Only

Contract: Supply or Full-Time

About the Role

Aspire People are seeking compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs in mainstream and specialist settings across Northamptonshire.

This is a highly rewarding role supporting children with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, and physical disabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with additional needs
  • Help implement EHCP (Education, Health & Care Plan) targets
  • Use creative strategies to promote engagement and independence
  • Support teachers with lesson planning and behaviour management
  • Maintain accurate records of progress and wellbeing
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND (essential)
  • Understanding of Autism, SEMH or complex needs
  • Calm, patient and resilient nature
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain through Aspire People)
  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (required for travel between settings)
  • Availability between 8:30am - 3:30pm, term time only
