A recognized education staffing agency is seeking a Teaching Assistant for an EYFS class in Filton, supporting the class teacher. Ideal candidates should exhibit patience and empathy and may have experience with ASD and ADHD. The role offers up to £105.89 per day and has the potential to become permanent. Job description
Teaching Assistant needed for an EYFS class in Filton

The primary school is based in South Gloucestershire in Filton. They're looking for a EYFS Teaching Assistant to support the class teacher. There is a higher than average in-take on SEN in the class, so experience of ASD, ADHD and SEMH are an advantage but not essential.

The school is well lead with a supportive team and a headteacher who is approachable and hands on. There is the possibility of the role going permanent for the right candidate, but is needed until the end of July at the least.

Hours

The school hours are 08:30 - 3:30 each day Monday to Friday.

Skills Base
  • Display patience, resilience and empathy.
  • Good knowledge of the curriculum would be beneficial but not essential.
  • A knowledge of ASD, ADHD and SEMH is a benefit.
  • Experience working in a school or education based setting preferable but not essential if there are transferable skills that are appropriate.
