We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support pupils and help them thrive in an SEND setting in Carlisle.

About the Role

You will support pupils across the curriculum, deliver targeted lessons, and work closely with teachers to promote a culture of success and positivity towards learning.

Support pupils in their everyday learning, deliver content to small groups or 1:1, manage behaviour, and contribute to the school’s family and community.

Qualifications

• SEND TA / SEND teaching assistant experience
• Experience working within a Primary or Secondary setting
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Excellent classroom management
• Level 2 or 3 qualifications and/or a minimum of 6 months experience in an educational establishment
• Experience of supporting young people on a 1:1 basis (desirable)
• Behavioural management experience (desirable)
