Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher in Wirral, Merseyside to support pupils aged 11-19 with complex needs in a supportive, inclusive environment.

You will plan and deliver tailored curricula, collaborate with SLT and on-site specialists, and pursue ongoing professional development through training and wellbeing activities.

Qualifications

• A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
• Experience working with pupils with SEN in a school or similar setting.
• Willingness to undertake training in communication approaches and curriculum access.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual pupil needs.
• Support pupils with SEN including SLD, PMLD and ASD.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalised learning programmes.
• Support communication and access to the curriculum through specialist approaches and training.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join a leading educational provider in the Wirral.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with complex needs, within a supportive and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of tailored curricula for pupils aged 11-19 with diverse special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning, implementing, and delivering differentiated lessons to meet individual pupil needs
• Supporting pupils with a wide range of SEN, including Severe Learning Difficulties, PMLD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalised learning programmes
• Supporting communication and access to the curriculum through specialised approaches and training

Requirements & Qualifications

• A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS or equivalent)
• Experience of working with pupils with SEN in a school or similar setting
• A willingness to undertake training in communication approaches and curriculum access
