Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
• Work closely with support staff and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each child's learning and development.
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies in line with student needs.
• Support students in accessing the curriculum, promoting engagement, and ensuring they develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
• Foster positive relationships with students, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Work closely with parents, carers, and other external agencies to support the needs of the students.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a genuine interest in working in the SEND sector.
• Experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs (desirable but not essential).
• Passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and committed to making a difference.
• Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to engage and motivate children with complex needs.
• A patient, calm, and flexible approach to teaching, with the ability to adapt to individual learning needs.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• An understanding of the challenges faced by children with additional needs and a desire to support them in overcoming these challenges.
