SENse Learning in the United Kingdom seeks experienced tutors to support children and young people with SEMH and SEND needs through in-person, online, and hybrid sessions. You will plan tailored, trauma-informed lessons and report progress to parents and schools to ensure learning plans are followed.

Flexible hours, competitive pay (£35 - £45 per hour), and a supportive team accompany the role. You will work with learners across KS1–KS5, guided by EHCPs and risk assessments where applicable.

Competenze

2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience with SEND/SEMH, trauma-informed approach.
QTS or QTLS certification. DBS clearance or safety checks.
Ability to plan and adapt lessons to individual needs.

Develop strong relationships with children and young people who have a range of needs and who have often experienced significant difficulties in previous education settings.

Provide in person, online / remote, and hybrid support to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs.

Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring tailored to the young persons needs, EHCP, and risk assessment.

Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.

Experience: 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way.
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
Approach: Understanding of how to work in a child-centred, holistic way; you will have the ingenuity and creativity to make the curriculum work in an individual, student-centred way.
Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references.
Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs.
Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
Competitive pay: £35 - £45 per hour.
