The Opportunity

As an SEND Specialist Tutor, you'll provide personalised, one-to-one lessons for students with a range of additional learning needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and sensory needs.

  • Plan and deliver tailored, multi-sensory lessons across various subjects

  • Track progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs

  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and professionals to create effective learning plans

  • Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that promotes growth and independence

This role is ideal for someone who wants to step beyond the traditional classroom and make a real difference in the lives of disengaged, at‑risk, or vulnerable learners. You'll plan and deliver personalised one-to-one lessons that inspire progress and boost confidence.

  • Location - St Helens
  • Position - SEND Specialist Tutor
  • Type of work - Contract
  • Start date - ASAP
  • End date - Ongoing
  • Contract type - Temporary
  • Full time/part time - Part time and full time depending on availability
  • Hourly rate: up to 30.00p/h
  • Hours - Flexible working hours available between 8am to 4pm
Experience, Training and Qualifications
  • QTS or equivalent
  • Have experience working with SEND students
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
To be eligible for this role, you must
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references.
