Job summary

Outwood Grange Academy in Wakefield is seeking a SEND Officer to ensure statutory compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and translate policy into targeted student support. This is a permanent role, 37 hours per week during term time plus five days, starting September 2026.

You will lead resource deployment, coordinate tailored interventions, and oversee the formal paperwork for individualized support. Training and support will be provided to help you succeed in this leadership position.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SEND legislation and Code of Practice sections 6 and 9.
• Experience translating policy into practical student support and documentation.
