SEND Learning Support Worker - Belper & Wirksworth (Long-Term Supply)

SupplyGo Education are looking for passionate and reliable SEND Learning Support Workers to support a specialist education setting in the Belper/Wirksworth area. This long-term opportunity offers consistent work across 3-5 days per week and the chance to make a meaningful difference to young people with additional needs.

Responsibilities

You will be supporting children and young people aged 5-19 with the following:

  • High-functioning autism
  • Global developmental delay
  • Speech, language and communication needs
  • Associated social, emotional or learning differences

Your role will involve providing 1:1 support, small-group work, emotional regulation support, and helping learners access a personalised curriculum.

Qualifications
  • Experience working with children or young people (direct SEND experience or transferable experience welcomed)
  • A warm, patient and resilient approach
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with learners
  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
  • Driving is preferred due to the semi-rural location, but not essential
