SEND HLTA - Full-time, Temporary Long-term and Ongoing, Starting January 2026

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEND HLTA to join a supportive and inclusive school environment. Duties as SEND HLTA
  • Deliver targeted interventions and support for pupils with SEND across KS1 and KS2
  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Lead small group sessions and provide one-to-one support where required
  • Assist in planning and adapting learning activities to meet diverse needs
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being in line with school policies
  • Support the development of inclusive classroom practices
Ideal SEND HLTA
  • Previous experience working with pupils with SEND in a primary setting
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of strategies for supporting children with additional needs
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
